Emptying my wardrobes, my rooms, all my drawers and shelves, I found a lot of things that For that reason let’s make some steps backwards: \r\n\r\n PHOTO2041 PHOTO2042 \r\n\r\n Back to the roots \r\nThrow away everything that you don’t really need! Get free of those decorative objects you don’t like any more, that you keep only because they remind you something, because you have bought them during your holiday in…, just because they are a present from a dear friend that you haven’t seen for ages, just because they are the result of a crazy shopping….OUT! Keep only what you really love and you really need. I’d say it’s better to keep those objects made of precious materials as well, pieces that can stay with you for the rest of your life. \r\n\r\n PHOTO2043 PHOTO2044 \r\nPHOTO2045 PHOTO2046 \r\n
Everything that “make noise” has to be left out. Too strong colors, fashion furniture and similar are interesting but only for a little while. You will hate them after short time. Who wants to find relax at home needs brightness. This means few shapes, few colors, few materials. Only in our quiet we can find our strength. \r\n\r\n PHOTO2047 PHOTO2048 \r\n\r\n Try to realize world of colors \r\nA house can’t be without any colors but you shouldn’t exaggerate, not because I don’t like it, but because it’s better for you in my opinion. Choose a world of colors as grey and white, brown and beige, or shades from the sea for example. Strong colors overlook your house, more neutral colors can give you calm and fit better with your furniture. \r\n\r\n PHOTO2049 PHOTO2050 \r\nPHOTO2052 PHOTO2051 \r\n\r\n Create a “homeland” \r\nI want to be sure it’s clear that it’s not necessary to choose everything neutral or minimal, otherwise you risk to get a cold and impersonal effect. Use your own taste and mood when you choose your furniture, maybe using an old piece, leaving some books on the floor or adding nice things you have found somewhere; they don’t have to be of big value, but they will surely have a personal value for you. In this way your house is really your homeland!
