Everybody knows: we get bored of the fabrics after a while, especially when they have strong, heavy and fashion patterns. When we bought them we fell in love with, they was so particular, never seen. Now we find ourselves in the evening sitting on the sofa and watching them with disgust! Exactly what we loved so much, it’s what we hate! Here are some suggestions not to make it happen anymore: First: Choose the fabrics thinking carefully about what can happen later. A good idea is to ask the shop to carry the samples home and keep them for some days to “live” with them sitting on the sofa in all the different lights in your house. Coddle them! You will understand if the fabric is what you love. Remember that the curtains don't should drape anymore, forget as they used to be years ago. They fall straight to the floor without train. It’s easier! Second: You can use fabrics in many different ways. Take a piece of plywood and cover it with fabric. Lean it against the wall and it will look like a real wallpaper. A cute idea is to use it as a bed head top, you get a more elegant result whit capitonnè. And in the bathroom? Take two fabrics, one of them waterproof, and you will realize a beautiful and personalize shower curtain! Third: The fabrics you have used for many years are able to change their destiny! An old curtain can became a tablecloth or a bedcover, even an evening dress! All changes depends on the materials of your fabric. Forth: When you choose keep your position! Nobody has to make you change your idea! Follow what you feel! I love the fabric, how it looks in the evening with artificial light and in daylight, I like touching it, it gives me joy! You really have to love it or you will find yourself once again on the sofa frustrated and angry! Fifth: People who love minimalism don't have to give up using fabrics! Neutral colors like grey, beige or nude don't steal the show from the furniture, they make the rooms warmer and give a better acoustics. So you can see that the fabrics have an important role, because they changes quickly the look of our houses and it sometimes lasts for years! You can play more with tablecloths, cushions and bedcovers. For cheaper decorations and objects we can play with seasonal and fashion colors but pay attention to more important things like curtains, sofa and armchairs! In this cases take your time and choose only when you are really sure – don't gamble!
