Eastern

As usual…. to see better “click” on the photos!

The light green makes escape the grey winter and we get ready to celebrate Eastern. Every year we wait for this feast because it means the beginning of the sunny season for us. When we think about Eastern our minds get full of positive feelings and we realize what we missed in the winter time.

This year Eastern is quit early (5th /6th April) and if we are lucky we can celebrate it with the sun. Somebody uses this period to make a short trip and somebody else organizes things at home. With this article I’d like to talk to those ones that stay at home and use Eastern as a Spring time party.

We have to decorate our houses new, like you can read in my article: Even your house can have four seasons: Spring.

In this article I described some decorations for Eastern or Spring time (it depends on what you want to use), like to composition with the vase of branches with new buds and the tray with the rabbits.

This year I chose to hang the branches (see my tutorial on my Facebook page: made in bettina nagel) with a chain of lights (with battery), paper decorations like garden lamps in two different kind of colors placed it among the branches, at least I add ceramic flowers. These ones who have little children will like my idea because they can’t reach the decoration.

There are also the flower boxes in front of the window in the kitchen and in front of my office window they will get a strong refreshing, that means: Out the dried and brown heather plants and in the pansy or maybe some ivy! It’s up to you, what you love to put inside it’s your taste.

The closer Eastern is the more we have to think about our plans. If our idea is to spend Eastern with the family at home, we have to organize what we will cook, how we want to decorate our table and so on. If we want to make a picnic with friends on Eastern Monday at a nice place, like a sea, a river or park we have to prepare something special that we can easily eat outside.

Third idea: Always if we don’t want to spend our Eastern holidays laying on the sofa, we can invite family and friends together for a nice brunch. If you choose this kind of solution you have one day off at Eastern where you can do what you want. Brunch has one big advantage:  If you organize well you can prepare a lot of food in advance and it’s even easier if you book a catering or one of the new services that bring all the food to your house and complete the cooking on your place. In this case you have a lot of time to spend with friends and family and to create a beautiful decoration.

A passionate cook will always prepare food by herself, because she is the only one who knows what her family and friends love eating.
