Create contrasts! Houses are lively thanks to contrasts! If you place design icons together with period pieces from flee markets, your house won't be a museum but alive and personal. Mix without problems figurines of porcelain together with books bound with leather and put all together on an industry design shelf. A sparkling mix works better if you use simple shapes and if the wall colors are soft, they give the right background.
