More tips to expose your family photo gallery in a captivating and decorative way:

\r\n

Same shades
Old yellowed photos get decorative when mixed with pastel colors and similar.

\r\n

Create a soft colored world
I’m talking about those photos from years ago that lost their colors or have been faded from the beginning. They can become the main subject of a decoration if you fix them on colored cardboards like very soft pink, light green or sky blue. To make everything quieter and more elegant and to show better the pastel colors of your creation, it’s nice to choose the same frames for all your pictures, maybe black with a thin edge.

Create your shapes
Put your photos with pastel cardboards and the frames around you on the floor and start your puzzle. Match everything as you love and play with your photos using a cutter and a ruler to create new arrangements made of part of any photos. For example take your husband’s head, than your child’s body and to finish your feet… and you create “art”!

\r\n

Create a relationship among your photos
Put some photos close to each other and some of them far away. The different distances create liveliness and the same frames get uniformity to the whole.

\r\n

A strange idea is to hang the photos lower and covered by little furniture like tables for example. A surprising effect!

A flexible wall as background
I have already talked about this kind of decoration in part 1. Do you remember? It's called moodboard! It’s only a simple piece of plywood covered by a fabric you like or painted. You can fix there your photos and change them whenever you like.

\r\n

Create your background
The photo don't have always to be framed. You can just use tape and pins. This version look simple, creative and above all it's very flexible and low cost. Chose a natural color that isn't in competition with your photos.

Risk!
Who can't help making experiments with a moodboard like this? In this case you don't have to put everything on the floor for your puzzle, you can start “gambling” directly on your “wall”.

\r\n

Cross the border
Family photos, metal plaques and brochures from a nice restaurant.......you can mix anything on this wall! You can even superimpose or overlap some photos......some frames can stay on the floor nearby the “wall”......All these details make your moodboard something lively, personal and an interesting mix.
