Two important things for anybody who loves traveling: bags packing and bringing home souvenirs.

As usual…. to see better “click” on the photos!

Packing is like a nightmare for some of us, but I hope to make it easier giving you some cute basic suggestions.

The perfect suitcase

Less is more: try to bring less clothes with you. How? Choose only basic clothes that can easily fit together, for example a pair of neutral color ballet flat can be worn during the day with casual outfits and in the evening with an elegant simple dress.

Prepare your outfits. Put any possible combination of what you want to wear on your bed. In this way you won’t bring things that can’t fit and risk to be useless.

Things you can’t miss in your suitcase: a pair of jeans, basic t-shirts, a black jacket, a dress and, if you go to the seaside, your bathing suit.

Accessories: bijoux, belts and foulards take few space and can personalize any outfit. Just one little piece to make the difference even with a simple dress.

Shoes: three is the perfect numbers (Oh dear! For me it’s really difficult!!) to bring with you and to be ready for any occasion. For a trip in an European town to visit through shops and museums you really need comfortable shoes but trendy at the same time: sneakers are perfect! They can be right in a B&B in the country as well or in a cottage in the mountains. If you really miss your heeled shoes, choose a pair in neutral color. To finish a pair of ballet flat or its summer version: flat sandals. They take few space in your suitcase, but are very useful and you are ready for anything.

The art of packaging according to Louis Vuitton: put your shoes in their fabric bags at the bottom of your suitcase. Then your beauty case. Fill empty spaces with your panty, socks and belts. Cover with your raincoat or your jacket. Then your trousers and skirts; to finish your well folded shirts and dresses.

Beauty case: it’s a good idea to use make-up in little packaging or proper boxes to fill with your products. The advantage is that any time you use your beauty accessories, your suitcase gets less heavy.

Any country has its secret products that can help us and our beauty. Let’s take advantage of it! Some suggestions to bring home something you must try!

Greece: this country has a natural cosmetic line called “Apivita”. I like its face masks because are very good, or better: it’s said everywhere, from Athens to Tokyo, that they can do miracles! (www.apivita.com)

Hungary: there is the “Queen of Hungary Mist”, based on a perfume created in 1207 for Elisabeth from Thuringia.  The products for face and body contain orange-flowers, roses and sage that make you fell well, with thermal water and vitamins that are a powerful anti-age. (www.omorovicza.eu).

Iceland: it has the “Miracle of Iceland”. This line takes its name from the wise women who have understood the power of swamplands. The green balsam “Moa” with milfoil, honey and oil from the tea tree is a powerful treatment against dry skin, herpes and even insect bites. When mixed with water it can also be a tonic for cleaning your face. (www.thegreenbalm.com).

The result: shiny and healthy hair. It isn’t cheap in England either but it is the “Rolls-Royce” of the brushes. (www.masonpearson.com).

Mason Pearson Mason Pearson

Morocco: it gives us the “Roses Water” (from the mountains Atlasgebirge). It can help swelled eyes, can calm irritated skin and it is a tonic for your face. And more: you can use it as perfume. (You can’t buy it online, it’s purchased only in Morocco).
